Mark Greenberg

With Mayfair Recordings, Mark has created music for TV spots for M&M’s, Ambien, Ace Hardware, ARS Service Express, Safeway, and Kashi in addition to music and sound design for many Cartoon Network online games including a music making machine called Class of 3000 “Funk Box” (starring Andre 3000 from OutKast). Other clients include Target, Volkswagen, Adult Swim, Safeway, Microsoft Windows Live, and American Greetings. Mark played in the Coctails (Hi-Ball/Carrot Top) and currently plays with Archer Prewitt (Thrill Jockey) Eleventh Dream Day (Thrill Jockey) and The For Carnation (Touch & Go).
Paul Von Mertens

Paul currently plays saxophone, flute, and bass harmonica with Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys) in addition to writing arrangements for “Pet Sounds” and “Smile” for tours and recordings. Writing credits include music for Steppenwolf Theater, the Peabody Award-winning documentary “The Lost Children of Rockdale County” and “Merchants of Cool” for Frontline, and the long-running “Workplace Essential Skills” for PBS. He has also created music for CareerBuilder.com with Second City Productions. Paul has performed and recorded with a variety of artists including Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Mavis Staples, Stereolab, Burt Bacharach, Poi Dog Pondering, and the Sea and Cake.
Clarence Fraher

In addition to playing in such bands as Technical Jed (spinART) and the New Messengers, Clarence has acted as composer and SFX creator for online games and activities such as “Danny Phantom Prom Night” (Nick.com), “Lego Builder Bots” (Lego), “Game On” (Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago) as well as being a composer for the soundtrack to “Twisted” (2006 Eliot Lives Productions).
Ethan Stoller
Composer
Ethan’s track “BKAB” is featured in the closing credits of the motion picture “V for Vendetta” (2006 dir. James McTeigue). He is currently working on the music direction for the new Wachowski Brothers’ film “Speed Racer”. Some of his other soundtrack work includes “Loving and Cheating” (2005 dir. Thom Powers), “Red Hook Justice” (2005 dir. Meema Spadola), “License To Play” (2005 dir. Ann Rose), and “Roadrunner” (2001 dir. Christopher Blasingame). Ethan has created music for Second City Productions in Chicago, an animated short created by the Wachowski Brothers for the Chicago Bulls, music for Human Rights Watch, TV spots for the Chicago Blackhawks with Coudal, and a Safeway/Dominick’s TV spot with DDB.
Tamar Berk

As a singer-songwriter Tamar’s music has been heard on the CW’s “Veronica Mars,” Chromiumblue.com (“Showtime Beyond”), “Knock First” (ABC Family Channel), and “Fanatic” (MTV) as well as in independent films such as “Temporary Girl” by Lisa Kotin and “Harvesting Darcy” by Thomas Griffin. Her music has also been heard in association with Southwest Airlines, Miller Beer and Winterfresh. Tamar splits her time between touring with her band The Countdown and working as Senior Art Buyer at Upshot, Chicago.
Charles Kim
Composer
As a composer, Charles has been commissioned by England’s Royal College of Art, the Chicago Underground Film Festival, and the University of Chicago Doc Films Center, and has scored pieces for Showtime’s “Freshman Diaries”, Chicago’s Redmoon Theater, and the Zephyr Dance Company. He has played with such bands as Pinetop Seven and Boxhead Ensemble (with producer/musician Jim O’Rourke and MacArthur Fellowship “genius” saxophonist Ken Vandermark), and currently records and performs as the Astronomer.
Jeremy Jacobsen

Jeremy’s music has been licensed by Nike, has been featured on NPR, and recent composition commissions have included work for the Chicago Complaints Choir (performed at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art) as well as for the Redmoon Theater. He tours and records as the infamous Chicago based one man band “The Lonesome Organist” (Thrill Jockey) and was a member of the band 5ive Style (Sub Pop).
Steve Versaw

Steve plays drums for the popular Chicago indie rock band the M’s (Polyvinyl). When not on the road supporting the likes of Wilco and Of Montreal (Steve tours as a soundman for Wilco these days), Steve has composed for Mojo Magazine and the Sundance Channel.
Jeff Parker

Having been voted into DownBeat’s Talent Deserving Wider Recognition category for guitar in ‘98 critic’s poll, Jeff has logged in a lot of hours with a lot of groups including Tortoise, Chicago Underground Trio, Isotope 217 as well as many more. Jeff has also created music for LaSalle Bank and the Erikson Institute as well as releasing his own records on Thrill Jockey and Delmark.
