Roman Coppola’s “Charles Swan III”

This month we spent time tracking and mixing beautiful scoring by Liam Hayes & Plush for use in the Cannes Film Festival screening of Roman Coppola’s A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, a motion picture which will include a number of noteworthy performers from Bill Murray and his Rushmore co-star Jason Schwartzmann, to Parks and Recreation’s Aubrey Plaza, as well as Charlie Sheen making his return to the big screen.

On the Road with Morrissey

Mayfair’s Matt Walker heads back out on the road drumming for Morrissey on a tour of South America and parts of Asia. The tour starts in Chile on February 24th and stretches all the way to May 10th in Indonesia. More details HERE.

Wilco’s The Whole Love LP (dBpm) is up for Best Rock Album of the Year at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 12th. GO WILCO! They’re up against such unknowns as Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon, and Jeff Beck…. Who?! I like their chances! (Mayfair’s Mark Greenberg was lucky enough to assist engineer Tom Schick and the band for tracking and mixing of The Whole Love.)

Soup & Bread Cookbook: Building Community One Pot at a Time (Agate Publishing) contains recipes and stories of the ways people can use soup as a tool for building community. It’s the companion to the ongoing free soup series at Chicago’s Hideout. Through these events and sales of their cookbook, S&B collects thousands of dollars in donations for area food pantries, soup kitchens, and hunger relief agencies. Mayfair was lucky enough to be able to help out the wonderful people at Soup & Bread with music for a video overview of these lovingly curated, semi-weekly events! Mayfair composer Chris Fuller has been very busy in the studio. In addition to scoring the extended trailer for indie horror flick GET OUT ALIVE (Clay Pigeon Productions), his music is also featured in MORT DIGS HORROR, a brand new web series focused on unearthing underground and forgotten horror movies.

Chris’s music has also recently been featured on popular TV shows including Auction Kings, The Nate Berkus Show, My Big Fat Redneck Wedding, and Mtv’s My Life as Liz.
