Wilco’s The Whole Love LP (dBpm) is up for Best Rock Album of the Year at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 12th. GO WILCO! They’re up against such unknowns as Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon, and Jeff Beck…. Who?! I like their chances! (Mayfair’s Mark Greenberg was lucky enough to assist engineer Tom Schick and the band for tracking and mixing of The Whole Love.)

Soup & Bread Cookbook: Building Community One Pot at a Time (Agate Publishing) contains recipes and stories of the ways people can use soup as a tool for building community. It’s the companion to the ongoing free soup series at Chicago’s Hideout. Through these events and sales of their cookbook, S&B collects thousands of dollars in donations for area food pantries, soup kitchens, and hunger relief agencies. Mayfair was lucky enough to be able to help out the wonderful people at Soup & Bread with music for a soon to be released video overview of these lovingly curated, semi-weekly events! Recent Mayfair work includes sound design (and some music bits) for two new General Mills online games, one for TRIX and one for and one for WHOLE GRAIN.

Mayfair composer Chris Fuller has been very busy in the studio. In addition to scoring the extended trailer for indie horror flick GET OUT ALIVE (Clay Pigeon Productions), his music is also featured in MORT DIGS HORROR, a brand new web series focused on unearthing underground and forgotten horror movies.

Chris’s music has also recently been featured on popular TV shows including Auction Kings, The Nate Berkus Show, My Big Fat Redneck Wedding, and Mtv’s My Life as Liz.

Wilco‘s new record The Whole Love will be released on Sept 27th on their new label dBpm. The first official video for the record ‘dropped’ this week for the song ‘Born Alone’.
